Description

Arroyo Craftsman produces hand-crafted Arts & Crafts style fixtures, they are known for their naturally oxidized finishes and fine metal work.

Our hand-applied finishes are the best in the industry because we take the time to let them “mature”. Verdigris Patina, Raw Copper, Mission Brown, and Bronze finishes are of an organic nature and are the result of an intensive three-day oxidation process resulting in a complex and naturally aged appearance. Actual patterns and coloration of the metal finishes may vary from product to product. This is due to the product and our hand-finishing. Our finishes will darken with age and weathering.

Powder-coated finishes are durable and consistent.

Lacquer is a coating used on the following finishes: Antique Brass, Antique Copper, Bronze, and Verdigris Patina. Due to EPA standards, we may only use a water-based lacquer. This type of lacquer and will dissipate over time. This process will vary greatly depending on the environment. Periodically applying wax on a lacquered surface will slow this process.
