The rod is attached to the ornament at the top of the panel domed roof of the main light. The roof extends down into a diamond shape frame with a border in the middle. The base has an upside dome frame ending in a flat base. The clear glass lining the frame really pops against the dark brown frame and gives this light a very vintage look.
