Venetians Collection
Murano expresses itself through its Venetian chandeliers, the origin of lighting in the Venetian island, when these objects were still made with candles before the arrival of electricity.
At the time they illuminated the Doge’s palace and the houses of Venetian nobles, but today they are destined for the most beautiful houses around the world.
Also in this collection, as in the Re-editions, time has stopped, time does not count. Those who choose these products know that they will do it forever, just as perhaps their parents and the previous generation did. In fact, very often these chandeliers are included in the hereditary axis of families.
The Venetian chandeliers, present in our collection, apparently similar to each other, are very different, and can be grouped into 2 eras:
- The 18th century, or rather the classics, the chandeliers with flowers and leaves in gold decorated crystal, the ones that never change, such as the blue blazer jacket in fashion for example. These lamps are intended for more classic homes, but not only that, they also fit perfectly in a modern contemporary environment, to give movement to the furniture and give originality to the environment.
- The Contemporary: in Mazzega 1946 we thought about the possibility of inserting Venetian chandeliers in contemporary metropolitan houses, rethinking these objects in a modern key. In fact, we made it more minimal, stripping it of the elements that make it classic, i.e. flowers, leaves and gold, but without distorting its identity, and remaining faithful to its origins, thus we gave rise to the 900 collection.
Iron
The rain falling on the sea and the shape of the waves in the water. In a romantic way, this is represented by Ferro.
